Dr. Dietmar Dirmoser is the Director of the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Dietmar Dirmoser joined the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in 2018. He studied social sciences, literature and history in Heidelberg and holds a PhD in sociology.
In the 1980s Dietmar worked as a research journalist and as a lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen.
Since 1990 he served as country director of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Peru, Mexico and the Caribbean. For seven years he was the director of the continental Journal and editorial “Nueva Sociedad” (New Society) in Venezuela.
During five years, until 2015, Dietmar held the position of director of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung s Regional Office for Croatia and Slovenia.
In the FES head office he served as the editor in chief of the journal IPG (International Politics and Society) and as a researcher in the International Policy Analysis Unit. Since mid-2015 Dietmar was in charge of the Central Asia and Southern Caucasus-desk.
Meike Büscher is Project Manager/Research Associate at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Meike Büscher joined the office of FES Nordic Countries in 2017 and worked before as Senior Research Analyst at the Ungdomsbarometern (focusing on youth studies) and as a Consultant at Augur. Meike studied Sociology at the University of Hamburg and at the University of Lund with focus on social inequality and statistics. Some of her major fields of interests are digitalization and new forms of labour, the future of the welfare state, civic and political engagement as well as changes in society, the construction of identity and individualization.
Eike Meyer is Project Coordinator at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Eike Meyer joined the office of FES Nordic Countries in June 2018. Previously, he worked as Project Manager at the German Council for Sustainable Development (focused on social and economic sustainability) and as Research Assistant at the Centre for Social Policy Research (focused on poverty research). Eike studied Political Science, Sociology and History at the University of Bremen. Beside others, his main interest lies in inclusion and social participation, welfare state policy as well as the transformation towards sustainable economies and societies.
Josefin Fürst is Project Manager/Research Associate at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Josefin Fürst joined the office of FES Nordic Countries in August 2018. Before she started at the Nordic Office, she worked as a project manager and event producer at Goethe-Institut Schweden and as a political advisor at SSCO (The Stockholm Confederation of Student Unions). She holds a Master's Degree in Political Science from Södertörn University. Her major policy interests are connected to how societies can be improved, become fairer and more equal, e.g. policies for regional development, urbanization, gender policies, culture and the development of welfare states.
Nicholas Lützow is Accountant at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Nicholas Lützow joined the office of FES Nordic Countries in October 2017 and is responsible for accounts payable, book-keeping and general administration. He studies his Master Degree in Accounting at Stockholm University and was beforehand studying his Bachelor in Business Administration in Cologne.
