Our team
Dr. Gero Maaß is the Director of the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Gero Maaß joined the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in 2012. Previously, he headed the International Policy Analysis division of FES in Berlin and the division “Western Industrialized Countries” (2005 – 2006). Furthermore, he was Director of the FES Offices in London (2000 – 2004) and Paris (1989 - 1993). Among his major fields of interest is the process of European integration, the Common Foreign and Security Policy, as well as the development of social democracy in Europe. Gero is holding a PhD in political economy and studied political science and economics in Hamburg.
Linda Larsson is program manager/ research associate at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm.
Linda Larsson joined the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in 2011. Before joining the FES, she worked in the Swedish public sector where she has specialized in health care issues and public procurement. Linda has studied political science and European studies in Sweden and Germany. Her particular fields of interest are European cooperation, migration and integration as well as European social policies.
Silke Breimaier is project coordinator at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm. (vik)
Silke Breimaier joined the FES in March 2013. Silke holds a master degree in political science, communication and education and has earlier worked as a research assistant at the University of Munich. Her special fields of interest are the nordic welfare models, the european integration process and right-wing populism.
Valerie Scheib is project coordinator at the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Stockholm. (on parental leave)
Valerie Scheib joined the FES office in Stockholm in October 2006. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration and Management from the University of Konstanz in Germany. She also studied political science at the University of Uppsala. Valerie has a special interest in Baltic Sea cooperation.
